Islamic Relief has supported enhancements in providing access to improved healthcare services including Covid-19 for most vulnerable people, mostly in IDP camps in South Central Somalia.

We provide basic health care services to persons through our three clinics, Daynile, Shibis, and Balcad districts.

• In 2020, our health program reached 133,745 people directly with quality health services providing basic medicines, disposables and other essential medical equipment.
• The health sector major supporters are: Islamic Relief USA, Islamic Relief Canada, DEC, Islamic Relief UK, etc.
• 2020 and 2021 projects included:
  • Access to Health Services for Needy IDPs/Hosts in Balcad, Bondhere and Daynile -Somalia (AHS4N)
  • CORONA PREPAREDNESS FOR IDPS in Somalia
  • DEC Coronavirus Appeal.
  • Health, Education and Agricultural Livelihood Support in Balcad, Benadir & Beledweyne – Somalia (HEAL II)
  • Provision of primary health care (PHC) in Daynile, Shibis, Afgoye & Balcad districts
